Helping us to do good for our community!

You have heard the announcement about joining, but maybe you still don’t understand it. And you are not sure what all the talk about Thrivent Action Teams does.

Here at Our Saviour’s we’ve have used Thrivent Action Teams to supplement our resources. Some of the things are:

  • To pay the postage for the Birthday cards that the church sends.
  • Lunch for the Church Council retreat
  • Music resources to build our relationship with the Keys Music program in Bridgeport
  • Supplement our Easter breakfast 
  • Buy plants and seeds for Grace’s Hill Garden
  • Support the Covenant to Care Easter baskets for the children

Action Teams can be used for many, many good things. There is a sheet in the Narthex that lists many ideas.

You’ve heard the announcements about joining Thrivent and maybe you have even gone to their website, but finding the membership application can be a little difficult, so to help you out this QR code takes you directly to the membership application page.

As an Associate Member you can lead one Thrivent  Action Team per year.  The cost is $19.95 to join and the one action team can request up to $250.00. That’s a very good return on investment! Plus there are other benefits. You can order a Thrivent Cause Kit at no cost to you! And if you join before April 1, 2026 you will receive Choice dollars that you can donate to Our Saviour’s or another worthy cause!
